Well ,,cost is a major expense when you have to buy six atv tires , and then have them mounted for $25 a pop , at the local atv dealer . Since I already own six Gator tires that work better in " some situations " than the Vampires do , all I have to do now is , put four more of them on my Max IV , and then I,ll have six . The only reason I don,t run six Gators on my Max now ,,is because they don,t swim . Thats why I have Terra tires in the middle and on the back of my Max IV. The Maxis Mud Bugs are almost identical in tread design , with the difference being the outer lugs have more of a curve , and this helps them swim ( paddle ? ) They will get you across a still pond . Matt O. says they GPS about 1.5 mph in the water , when they were mounted on his Mud Ox.
