The Rotax 503 came mostly in Ski Doo and some Moto Ski snowmobiles. I believe it was the Ski Doo 4500 and 5500 models.

I think the JLO/Cuyuna 440 based on the Thunderchief was allowed with twin carbs in D stock, wasn't it?
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

    (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

I thought I saw an Attex with that set up from the factory once, but I wasn't sure. Maybe Howard Gerber remembers if they made those to race. The NATVA rules say D stock is single carb?

So, if we're going back to the 1975 stock rules, it states that only single carbs are allowed, and no swapping of engine sizes/brands. I won't complain (okay, maybe a little bit...) but it's tough enough for the little 440 purists out there to hang with the G50B crowd, and even harder to keep up when the big honkin' Rotaxes pull up to the line in D/Stock.
