    We escoted convoys to Harbor Gate up on the Turk border then we got changed to run to FOB Sikes a real peach of a route many bombs I got shot in the helmet in Tel-a-far on the way to sikes I got lucky on that deal not a scratch B company of my unit had 5 KBR guys die in thier convoy. If they would have let us do our jobs without all the ROE bull we could have done one heck of a job on the bad guys

    Bad gas in the Lil Truck gummed the carb up again, so I think it's time for some fuel system cleaner. The Hustler will be getting a pair of new bearings this week and then more progress on the green Superchief project is in the plans.

    Hi Fred, The 16HP can't take the 20HP carb and intake.....it's just too much for the 480cc displacement. If you can find an 18HP ((570cc) you can simply bolt on the 20HP intake and carb on it and then it's a 20HP Vanguard. If you can find a deal on a 627cc 21 or 23HP Vanguard, you'll have a real monster of an engine that will have more power than you could ever need. Hope this helps!

    Ask swift about going with the 20 parts. I assume if you can make a 14 to a 16 to an 18 and an 18 to a 20 one would think that they are all the same block and what not, just carbs and intakes.

    Your right about removing the flywheel that way, but it only works if you get the bolt on first lol. Thats were I am stuck right now. As for splinning the big foot, It would be way cool but I believe you got 1 5/16 diameter and all the splinned ones made are 1 1/4 so I don't know if it will work. I would think that if you ot some stock 4140 or better and had them keyed for the sprocket and pinned for the hub, it would work almost as good as splinned. I broke axle pins all the time until I had a keyed axle made. By eliminating the pin hole it eliminates the weak part. For your carb, just keep watching ebay. That stuff pops up all the time, its just finding the right deal. I was actually thinking of swapping carbs and intakes out of the attex with some 20 hp parts, but the price just seems to high for the parts so 18 hp it is.

    Set the tranny in last week. Going to Marks shop tomarrow to throw her togethor. Might not have the final linkage for the t-20 but I'll just wont back up if thats the case. I put bad gas in my attex and then got a screw behimd the flywheel. I ordered a big ass strap wrench today so I can pull the flywheel and put it all back in order. Hopefully it will fix relatively easily. Hows the hustler doing Fred? That sure is a mean machine and puts you in the big boy machine club.

    Probably a 98 or 99. Its got round headlights and splined axles. As for unloading goes, I threw everything in the garage and will get to it sometime.
