it would happen. Bought a used 700 avenger a week ago, machine had 75hrs on it an is in good shape or so I thought. (first argo so I have a lot to learn)
I pulled the tires off and grease it all up, oiled the chains and adjusted the idler chain tension. I though it was all good to go.
On the short test run I notice that the end of the exhaust looked loose so I stopped and noticed muffler had broken. It seems very unusual for it to break where it did. I must have been hit before on the pipe I would guess. The wire mess on the exhaust outlet has a bigger hole than on the new ones I seen in the showroom so maybe it was.
The machine did backfire once in a while and maybe this was a result of the exhaust? I am hoping anyway.
I will post some picture, I am thinking about having the exhaust welded as it isn't rusted or weak appearing.
If anyone has an ideas or experience I would like to hear it.
looks like it rusted out. I think some mufflers if they dont get ran really hard, dont get hard enough to get all the moisture out, and start to rust. With that few of hours on it that is the only reason i can think of. let me know how it turns out.
