    Aluminum rack being made locally.

Here's a rack a guy is making locally.

Went by and looked at it, and it was very nice.

I doubt free would be worth getting one for you. The guy is only local to a few members in Alaska. Shipping to the lower 48 would probably be more than buying one that is local to you.

    $1,000

It's a well thoughtout and designed rack.

I met with him about a week ago - as stated, they looked well made - the pricing varies just a bit depending on options, but they are very very competitive compared to the other options locally - I'm having him build me one with just a few modifications to it from the one pictured. He had three orders in before me as well for the same customer. I'm very much looking forward to getting it, painting it and getting it installed.

I'm going to have one done up as well with a few changes. I want another vertical bar going from the rack to the tub at about the windshield.

We talked about expanded aluminum for the deck, but think I want to go with diamond plate with "drips rails" over the fabric top door.

What I like about his compared to some of the other local options, is his look like they were purpose built for an Argo and not just some material laying around the shop used to make a rack.

What modifications have you got in mind?

I'm having a front bar across between the front uprights to move brush aside (also provides a great area to install an led light bar up high, yet protected) instead of trapping it in the middle and using angle aluminum for mounting on the tub at all points, so it'll just go on top of the rubber molding, instead of under/inside it like his - it'll help distribute the weight better and also be much easier to take it on/off as needed. Plus he might have to adjust the rear angle vertical bars to adapt to where my outboard mount already occupies space on the edge. I've also been thinking of coating it in that liquid rubber/bed protector type material, but I'm not sure how well it would stick and stay on..........if not I'll just krylon it.

I think you'd have a similar response if you were to see one of my infamous 6X6World bumper sticker pics. Right everyone? haha.
