Am in the process of buying an argo Bigfoot, my first 6x6 . It also comes with another Bigfoot that has no motor. I am looking to make a tub trailer out the second one. Where i hunt it is a lot of muskeg and and a few creeks. Looking for ideas on what kind of hitch and how to modify the body so the fenders wont sag. Fabrication is not a issue so the mods can be complicated. Any ideas are appreciated.
Argo makes a trailer my suggestion is to look at what they have done ,,,I maybe mistaken but it appears they make a tow bar and use the hitch from the standard body ...
I have an argo trailer, had to modify the original setup as it had a tendency to tip sideway going through creeks ect. I did a swivel on the reach and use a ball mounted on the argo, works great. I cross a river, lots of muskeg, some creeks and some beaver dams/ponds to get to my hunting area so it gets a real workout I will try to get some pictures of the setup for you.
I have been thinking about doing the same thing as you. I have a spare Bigfoot tub as well. I think the tub would hold together ok. I was thinking of leaving the middle axles in there and plugging the rest. The hitch reciever in the back is ready for mounting the tow bar on.
In this vid there is a similar idea done with an old Praire bobcat machine.
