    HDI Admiral Transmission Replacement

Anyone ever replaced an admiral transmission in an HDI? How long did it take?

Takes me about 5 hr and I'm old and fat. The trick is alignment of the output shafts with the outer bearings requires special tools to do right. I've had several that required slightly enlarging the mount bolt holes to get the tools to slip in easy.

What went wrong with your transmission. How many hours did it have on it

Nothings gone wrong yet. Just wondering if it would be practical to get a spare high speed transmission to swap out from the high torque transmission for trips when you don't need to run tracks.

Doesn't sound very practical at all.
