curtis, some guys use a heavy '' zip tie '' to pull the chain tight together. maybe that would work for you. j.b.

Yup, this way is the best method I've found. I find it works easier than the modified vice grips

Ok so put the master link on when it is close to the sprocket??

That's what I do, it seems easier within an inch or two of the sprocket.
