Ah, thanks again! Why wouldn't they have this on their own web site? Weird. Direct link to pdf for anyone else looking for it:

Just adding to Sparx's point about some of the premium packages coming ONLY with the 6.2 ratio admiral and how that wouldn't be great with tracks. There's the STD 6.2 and the HS (High Speed) 6.2 shown on that sheet. The HS set-up is the same reduction from secondary clutch to output shafts as STD but the drive sprockets are different to gain top speed. From the parts manual they've changed the planetaries, I assume to increase the steering radius so that you're not flung out the side at the faster speed when you turn.

Bottom line your total reduction from engine to wheels is less on the HS 6.2 than the STD 6.2 so you may be even more unhappy with track performance with that set-up. But they put those beautiful offset aluminum wheels on them so that using tracks is that much easier! And then limit you to a drivetrain with the least amount of torque at the wheels! Again, weird. Still wouldn't mind taking one of those LX's out for a spin just to see how it feels at speed.

Great work rgoat! I was wondering how the HS differed when the trans ratio was the same, totally makes sense now! At least now with different drive sprocket options it'll be easier to change the gearing instead of swapping trans. I will now have a 6.4 and 8.4 Admiral trans to play with, I may get the sprockets as well. Might find a sweet spot between Hi Torque trans with HS sprockets? Lol

HEY ARGO!!!! You ever hear of a three speed tranny?? You make gears! It's not hard! Could we have a three speed tranny with a HS top gear, medium range for general trail use and a super low gear for extreme terrain!!!!!! While you are at it make the counter rotation a separate switch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not a big thing we are asking here, after all you do manufacture gears, right?????

    Get it right Argo!
