My thoughts also. Scratching is a big problem here. Hadn't thought about flexing.

For what its worth, I will be on my third glass windshield since i got the machine. Yes, they don't scratch. No, the do not flex. Twice now I have had a been going through willows and small trees to have my windshield get hit by a branch just perfectly and shattered. It stayed in one general piece, in fact, I still haven't changed it out yet. I am thinking of trying lexan as I only use the windshield for cold protection, and a little bit of scratches would be tolerable.

With Derek on this one two glass windshield,s they were great loved them but alas popped both mind you over a ten year period installed a Argo lexan last fall as couldn't get a glass one its okay but it is new a couple weeks ago out of nowhere a branch swung back and wailed the windshield so hard it bent one support almost in half and a serious warp in the other one replaced the supports no other damage good to go had it have been a glass one I would have been at the three count.NCT

The older windshields were terrible for shattering on the 80-90's and early 2000's style machine, the windshield was much squarer and easier to contact than the newer ones are. I went threw 2 both shattered, one was deadfall and the other was contact with a tree, both times windshield was down, I still prefer glass personally even though I vacuumed glass out for at least 3 years.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

My 84 originally had glass but I put lexan in and it has lasted for a year, it is getting to the point it is hard to see though and I may have to go back to glass.
