    First Argo, little scared

I just bought my first argo, it is an older used machine, but running, and had extra part with it. I need a few things. Correct size battery, the current one will not let the fire wall be installed, new tires or maybe tubes, winch, and maybe a canopy. Thisnmodel should be a 1986 I think, any help with identification and any common problems to look for would be much appreciated.

you have an Argo 8 I/C (INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL) looks like the tires from that era to. the 8I/C was introduced in 1981 right up until 87 when the redesign of the Argo happened and they came out with Argos like i have. check out the identification plate and we could tell but its hard to tell but you seem right wherever you got the year from! how many hours is on the machine? it has no skid plate which is a bummer, has the brake cooling fan (intake screen anyways) the 8ic is my fav model but the biggest let down is the pinned axles.send come pictures of frame chains and everything else.... we may be able to spot some things out. if you are new to Argos this is right home for you!!

I would suggest that you not put a strap across the seat like that when tying your Argo to your trailer. It will bend the seat frame and allow the tub to sag and reduce the clearance between the top of the tires and body.

Info plate is KB6457 and idea of year? I have just started work on the machine. First order was new tires which should be here in a week. I also am repairing the battery tray since some idiot cut off one of the hold down bars. So im creating a work around for that and I bought a new optimal battery for it. More pics are here as well, I did notice that the machine doesn't turn as well to the left as it does to the right and is sound like the chains slaps if you try to turn to hard. Any ideas on why that would be?

Idle chains and front one look ok, but the longer chains need replaced. The drivers side is very loose, and no longer is able to be taken up by the tensioners. Where is the best place to buy chains?

cheapest is ebay and cut it yourself but you cn always buy from argo. Argo uses high quality chain also
