    Then your plug wires may be open. Make sure you meter is on autorange for ohms, or on the highest range, and if you still get no reading, replace them. Most ohm meters will measure up to 40 megohms, which is very high. Anything higher than that could be considered an open connection.

    set gap to factory .010 and got spark! thanks guys for the help!

    that is perfectly normal. all those steel plates are just stacked. once you tighten the bolt, they bend slightly and don't stay together anymore. when installed, the bolt holds everything together.

    whats the proper way to set it. do 1 side at a time or the whole coil at once with a .010 guage?
