Super Tracks
I have a set of new super tracks for 8x8 conquest. I live in Colorado and will be going 9-10000 feet in winter, deep snow, but mostly a snowmobile trail. Are ice cleats enough to get traction? My friends have suggested track extensions with angle iron. When I look at pics here I see argos eveywhere in snow with just the regular tracks. You feed back is appreciated.

I run tracks quite a bit, and have never bothered with ice cleats. MOST of the time I don't need them, and don't think they would help in the powder anyway. However, they are a big help when running on ice trails.
I like the idea that artist1018 has with the chain.......I think I will try it. Probably don't need alot, one chain on every 4th or 5th track link maybe? RD |
