Super Tracks

I have a set of new super tracks for 8x8 conquest. I live in Colorado and will be going 9-10000 feet in winter, deep snow, but mostly a snowmobile trail. Are ice cleats enough to get traction? My friends have suggested track extensions with angle iron. When I look at pics here I see argos eveywhere in snow with just the regular tracks. You feed back is appreciated.

I live in mid-Michigan. We get about 3-4 inches at a time, normally, with most of it staying until warm days. I have a Conquest as well. I have the regular tracks, and, I added chains acoss each section and have found them to be more effective on ice. Deep snow has not been a problem so far, either.
I have had the chance to run on private property that accumulates several feet of undisturbed snowfall. 2-4 feet deep areas & larger drifts.

Last year I had about 4-5 feet of snow in areas and my bigfoot with super tracks had no trouble at all. All I have are the factory ice cleats. They do fine for me here in Maine. Seth

I run tracks quite a bit, and have never bothered with ice cleats. MOST of the time I don't need them, and don't think they would help in the powder anyway. However, they are a big help when running on ice trails.
I like the idea that artist1018 has with the chain.......I think I will try it. Probably don't need alot, one chain on every 4th or 5th track link maybe?

I tried skipping sections and found it to jumpy/lurchy. I ended up putting chain on each section and, wow, a lot smoother ride!! I think I spent $100.00, or less, total.
