I'm addicted!

Nice rides everyone. This is my first and I have a feeling it wont be my last! I am really getting addicted quickly to tinkering and playing with this beast! And it looks like I am in good company! Lots of helpful people in this community. Hopefully I will be able to give back as much as I get from it!

Cory,,,Have you had your ARGO in the water yet Swimming?

Just noticed in your pics,,,when I got my BigFoot,,I found out that with the tire's on in the direction yours are on,,,It did not swim at all,,,you probobly need to switch them from side to side to reverse them,,,, to motivate in the water Good.,,,maybe a 8x8 is different ?,,,,,Mark

tire direction

He's right Cory; you have your tires on backwards. As far as having them generate thrust in the water, direction of tread is key. As it stands, so long as you stay out of the water, or drive backwards when you do go swimming, then it doesnt matter!

Thanks for the tip guys. The previous owner had put them that way for the mud. They sure work better that direction for that, but if I go into an area where I know there will be some decent water crossings I will swap the front two from side to side.
I also really like that Camo bigfoot! Wish my body was in that pattern on my conquest!

I carry my Minkota trolling motor with me, most of the time. It takes up very little space in my 8x8 Argo Conquest & I can reach the extended handle from the front, but usually stand in the back & hang on the the front seat-back for fishing needs or to cross over quick & quiet! I can shut off the Argo & run silent so as not to spook the fish!

I have been looking into trolling motors for my Argo. How long is the shaft on your motor? How many lbs of thrust or hp does it have? Do you have a seperate battery for it? How fast does it move you? Thanks
