    Axle Shear bolts

What is recommended to use for bolts on the older style axles. Do most people use Grade 5 bolts, Grade 8 or is there something better. It appears that my 1984 8 wheeler has conventional grade 5 bolts for shear pins.

    Thanks

    I'd stick with what's stock........
they are made to prevent damage to other, harder to deal with components in the case of over-torque.......

    good luck
