Skip,
Awesome Argo! Thanks for posting up a picture. You have it optioned out don't you? What model is it and what engine? Do you mainly use it for plowing, hunting, playing, etc? Enquiring minds want to know :)
Mike
it is a conquest bought it in 2000 it has a kawasawki 20 horse eng snow plow super tracks heater wiper led lights hyd snow plow rack on the back for gas can mounting and shuvel and other things that will fit on there
Where's the kitchen sink? :D Really though, that is an awesome Argo.
yes it even has a piece of plywood that i coated with bed liner paint stuff and then i take out the seats and turn it in to the pickup I told the war dept AKA (wife) that I need a new one becouse this one has all it needs But She explaned to me in so many four letter verbs that it is not going to happen to soon so i was positive that i will be happy with what i got or els so untill i can come up with so other plan i have ( i mean I will ) keep it
One thing is certain...you don't want to upset the war department or you will end up Argo-less looking like this :help:
That is an abslute YYYUUUUUUPPPPPP
Here are some pics of my 8x8, that I had handy. I took them to show a buddy the rear rack, and front pushbar mods, the Top and Supertracks are off for the summer, but it still has the spacer kits in on the axles.
I don't have any pics of my 6x6 at the moment.

Awesome machine! I love the rack and brush guards. That's the same way that I made my bumper. Taking a piece of angle iron and cutting/welding to fit the curves of the body. That takes some time though. Nice work!
I work out in the bush, remote Compressor Stations, 8 days on 6 days off. After hours I have time for stuff like that. A couple sets ago I rebuilt my 6x6, all new chains, seals, brakes, couple axles, ect. when I got it, it had been sunk in a Beaver Pond for who knows how long with nothing more than a bit of one back corner sticking out of the water.

A work in progress with the help of the good people on boards like this!
1980 8x8 16 hp tecumseh, new tires, new chains, new wiring, all greased up.
This is a picture of my agro as I bought it...
This is now ... Still in progress (new motor)
Attachment 173
tucker, can you try to post that last picture again so that we can see your progress? I don't know what happened to it :hmmmm2:
Lets try this again
24 hp honda
1700 warn winch
fog lights
tach
fuel gauge
battery gauge
Man, that looks great. You sure did a clean install on that motor. It looks like a tight fit too. I see the gas can in one picture. Is it drivable yet?
Yeah,
Thank you....
:adore:
I have driven it several times since those pictures. Didn't want to use the fuel tank untill i cleaned it.. and could hide the gas line from the tank....
I have since found out that my exhaust was venting on the wrong side.. I have a fan set up and I was blowing cold air across a hot muffler then accross the motor and out the passengers side where the exhaust also vented...
Now its different.. I have two fans on the passengers side blowing cold air accross the motor then across the muffler and out the drivers side...
I need to rebuild the tranny... the differential is bad.. when you apply brake on one side, it stopps both sides.. makes it difficult to turn...
Nice re-install, don't get too good at it or you'll be too busy putting in engines for other guys & not be able to get out to PLAY!!
Updated Pictures of my Argo....
Here's a picture of my Frontier the day I brought it home.

Good work on the Argo. Those mechanical upgrades should come in handy and the winch and bumper looks great. What size is that winch? It looks powerful :D
It is a 3000# winch with a snatch block so theortically it should double the pull. I kind of hope I will not need it but it's there should the occassion arise.
Hi everyone, this is my Argo 85. I broke the engine last week tecumseh XL 16hp. I need to find another one help my please. I prefer to buy a tecumseh for keep all of my mecanic, Starter,exaust... but it's realy hard to find for me.If a was unable to find tecumseh i will fit vanguard v-twin B&S 16 or 18 HP. thank you .
Hi Bonzoo! Thanks for sharing those pictures. I hate that your engine went on you but now would be the perfect time to upgrade you know *Nudge Nudge* :D
New guy here, just wanted to say "HI Everyone!" and share a few of my Argo 6x6. My kids love it, wife hates it. Runs and drives fine. Could use some new tires though and a good washing (Gotta find water other than whats in that mud hole).
I believe that s what mine looked like before its extreme makeover... My 399 blowup and I put in a 24 Hp honda...
Nice ...
How do those paddle tires do?
To me they do very well that I have been hunting a backup set. They're Dick Cepek Sand Sports 22x12x8's. As long as I can control myself in the mud, they float right over, after I have lowered the pressure some. I like them in water better than the Carlisle Chevrons. The lugs are deeper than the Chevrons' and they have more lugs than some of the newer sand paddles. They just seem to move the water way better for more speed. If I really wanna go real fast..... I'll just hang the ol' 15HP boat motor on the back of it. But for plain ol' dirt and rocks, I like the GBC Dirt Devil II's. Here's what they look like.
Hi All!
My wife and I just bought a 2007 Frontier 6x6! After about 3 months of waiting it finally arrived!!!
But, on our first trip out to the dunes, we punctured the front left tire! LOL!
Now we are considering tracks!
Here are a couple pics...

Great picture Jeff!
I've had it years now & still cant get used to the nose down in the water!
this is the bigfoot i'm trying to buy. well iguess my dial-up is to slow to send pictures. but there it is next to my handle.
This is my good old Argo, never realy failed in the 15 years i own him.
It hast the Briggs & Stratton 16 hp Vtwin engine in the I/C version (industrial / commercial) and i have a set of tracks for it.
I canĀ“t understand why they dont use the I/C engines anymore :dontknow:
