Make sure you take a shovel with you. If there is slush , it can get you stuck real easy. Have fun, and let her drive :-)

I have a basket on the front of mine and made a holder for the auger on the front of the basket. You could do the same thing off the brush guard.

My reason was [safty] ice fishing. We just had two snowmobiles go through this week and a couple trucks. The ice is always something to respect! It's great for dragging out deer in the hills also.

I like to use a little MMO or ATF in the fuel. I also use only 91 octane.

It's a great start. I think I'd make it a straight track machine and build in some floats in the center of the tracks to help with stability. Good luck on the build.

I'd sure like to see some vidio of the new Escarge UHMW tracks pulling an Argo out on the ice. I don't think the UHMW will have the bite on ice like the steel does. Maybe with some carbide sled...
