This is pretty much every transmission, belt, and chain bearing plate bolt on the coot.
One of the best upgrades I've ever done is, whenever a bolt comes loose on the underside, instead of...
Looks like rain all day 9am to 5pm
I'm going to check one last time before trying to head out. If it's raining and not letting up, I'll postpone my visit till next weekend or one where it's not...
You could run without the tracks, I'm sure the machine would still be more capable than anything else attending. Could be an interesting comparison between the two.
Unless you've got free-wheeling...
If J-wheelz came in bigger sizes for 29-31" sized tires I'd be all over them. They look quite effective. Kind of like a half way point to tracks without all the issues running tracks come with....
Post some pics, not a lot of those on this site.
After not going for two years due to Covid, this year looks like the first to be back in action at Mettowee off road park.
I will likely host my own event in a few weeks after their opening if...
Personally I've always found the steps needed to find or post images on this site take more time than it's worth. When I look up anything on google it gives results of forum post with the images as...
That's a lot more enticing! I had not realized it worked like that, figured it was all or nothing. I'll have to look into this now, is this the conversion that uses the Saturn View steering set up?
Electric Power Steering?
I used to consider it, but after hearing about some people who have broken the coot's steering gears, I'd be afraid I'd get it in a bind where the EPS would be too strong...
Divide your your two sprockets to get the ratio.
IE a 45 tooth and a 15 tooth be a ratio of 3:1
Thus your 2nd sprocket is just as important and its hard to know the outcome without doing that...
Anyone here into RC cars / trucks. I spend as much if not more time wheeling RC crawlers in the woods as I do with my full size rigs. Very fun hobby lot cheaper and easier when things break to repair.
Agreed! exactly what I was thinking. Very classic and great price. Was hoping to get the word out to get some orders in and hopefully keep these in production for the future. Wouldn't even be...
thanks for sharing, beautiful machines!
Thank's Noel.
Yea it's rough but honestly it's ok unless I'm in 2nd and on long bumpy trails. Slow speed I don't really notice it.
I run 4.5psi in the front and 3psi in the rear (to keep the...
There is or was a whole racing scene with 6x6 and pretty sure there was Max's with well over 40hp in the highest tier classes, but they where pretty built up.
I'm not really sure what the point of...

Never seen these brands before, some cool tires on here and for quite cheap!
Speaking of chains I'm soaking the short length of #50 chain for my coot in Diesel. It's ancient chain with 3 frozen links. I've gotten away with running it all these years but finally decided to...
Without tracks as low as you can go before the tires start coming off the bead. Lower is the secret for more traction. In my old Scrambler 6x6 I ran 1.25 PSI
In my Coot I run 4.5 in the front and...
I'll be organizing a Mettowee Off Road Park ride next spring in up state NY so that may be of interest to you.
