I'd be concerned I'd forget to switch it back on after winching... or (even though unlikely) bump it off and not notice.
I have pretty good luck getting standard plastic tracks on my response by driving onto the tracks laid out on the ground, airing down my front and back tires to nearly nothing, pulling the track up...
I found today that I'm missing one of these plug plates... Not sure how long it's been gone, or if it was ever there. What happens if I run without it? Is it a part I can source local or do I have to...
I've been off here for a while... way to go with the project, looking good!
I've got a 2001 Response with the 18hp briggs. It hasn't seemed underpowered for my applications (2 guys, gear, + medium sized moose, canoe on the top, on standard tracks... and once without......
I did my usual moose run this year w/out tracks for the first time as an experiment. Got stuck (high centered in the 4 wheeler ruts) more than ever. The only plus side was added overall...

You pick that up in Fairbankstown?
I'm attempting to replace the broken, original winch on my Response before the temps settle in below freezing. Tried to replace only the motor (which has a big crack in the magnet) but the x2 (if...
Cool to get the whole family out. Looks fun and relaxed.
My moose hunting often feels more like a bleary-eyed run to Chitina. The argo has certainly helped cut down on time afield transporting......
Great pics and congrats on the moose. What unit were you in, looks like a fun ride! What are those two rods up high going from the back of the green machine to the trailer.. some sort of stabilizer?...
