My question is. What and why would you want to set it at .028 or at .024 or all points in between?
Elevation? better idling? Better...

Did you try the half track? How did they work? How Did the axle and bearings hold up?

I found it. When I removed the "new champion spark plug it was toast, the plugs rubber had melted a little. I put it back on and it runs fine. Thanks again Jim it was so simple!

Jim, My post maybe misleading, it was the cap/plug on the end of the spark plug wire that is gone. I need to remove and replace the whole wire or if possible just the end that plugs into the spark...

I didn't see it in the thread but it could in there, battery jumper box w/ air compressor. It can use to charge phones has standard plugins. I travel alone in an 1999 conquest and this has saved me...
