Got my project running today with one problem.

The stator smokes and the charge wire get extremely hot. The regulator doesn't get hot.
Check and rechecked all of the electrical connections.

My fan is yellow on the hot side, gotta love Argo. :-)

I was able to get a NOS Argo harness to replace...

The old harness was a mess. Taps everywhere for accessories. Totally worthless for mapping the replacement harness.

The battery cables were spliced with steel 3/8 cable clamps, then wrapped...

You know all the trouble you had getting it apart? Cheap out the bearings and chains and you'll be going through that trouble more often than you'd like.

I've heard they aren't swimmers. I've got them on an 8x8 argo (skid steer) that is being restored. Should have it up and running next week.
