The new cables have the heat shield, we actually tried a wrapping the cables with more insulation to fix the problem, but it still persists.
Anyway, if that's the biggest problem we have to contend...
The trouble with coming out of creeks isn't so much the tracks, but the sheer weight of the machine. We are looking into trying some different tracks, but im not sure that they will be the remedy we...
I hope it worked out better for you than it did me... I ended up having to remove the engine from my conquest to get the clutch off.. I put a puller and heat on it once the engine was out, and ended...
We are running a pair of them, being used to get gas wells. The country we are in is absolute hell... swamps, trees and muskeg.
Couple things-
Chain and axle life is un-beatable. Both machines...
Lets revive this old thread.
Had a couple lately.
Was out checking wells and obviously pushed a stick into the belly pan on the avenger...course it wasn't obvious until I was in 8' of water what...
Yep, that would certainly do it!
For the price and the time, I would rebuild both clutches while you have them off.
This is what we do, it works well once you get the hang of it.
Its really a terrible design flaw, but its what we have to live with I suppose.
I just had this issue on my avenger. I now pack a spare plug end with me. If the need arises, I can pop a new one on in a second.
Small world.. I am in high level.
Wow! I want one!
Your problem is likey caused by either brake fade or bad fluid. Brake fade is caused by excessive heat buildup in the brake system. Make sure that you aren't dragging the brakes. Also, make sure that...
I took the machine out for a good shake down tonight, and found a few things out.
After winching through a nasty muck hole, I did notice a hp loss as the alternator attempted to recharge the...
Yes, I sure am.
I have been in that setting for approx. 50 hours of use. I wasnt too worried about it, as the rest of the secondary is pretty much pooched, so i am due for a new clutch sooner or...
I truly havent noticed any loss of HP. I cant imagine that a person would notice any loss, but who knows.
If i notice a loss of power i will just adjust clutching accordingly.
After using this...
I just pulled mine apart the other day and noticed this as well. Mine is not as severe as yours, but sure getting close.
I personally came to the conclusion that it is caused by a sloppy snap...
Good day everyone,
I just finished installing an alternator kit in a conquest, and thought i would let everyone hear some feedback on the install and results.
The machine is a 98 with a FD620...
My conquest did the same thing. It drove me nuts. I put on an electric fuel pump, removed and cleaned the carb, and replaced all fuel lines.
It turned out in the end that the carb float had a...
I think that they offset the mount so that you can still tow a trailer with the motor operational.
Not sure about the steering. Might be a little tough to do. You will still have to go to the rear...
Perfect, thank you very much for the help. I will give it a go tonight.
