Hi All!
Does anyone have any pictures of how the ROPS attaches to the argo? I would like to build my own but their does not seem to be a lot of room to attach it. Most pictures it seems it is attached to the outside edge. If anyone could post a close up photo it would be a big help. Thanks J
Mine is homemade and it bolts to the outer lip. Basically runs around the perimeter of the body. 12 bolts though the two halves with a 2 inch piece of flat bar on the bottom side to spread the load out. I have pictures up, let me know if you would like a close up.
Here is a picture to garbie's gallery: garbie Gallery - Amphibious ATV Pictures There are a few other pictures if you look in the Argo category. You may find one that shows a close up.
Because ROPS is the technical term, and it is used on everything from Bulldozers to tractors. If it is called a ROPS, that means that the structure has been certified and approved by a professional engineer to protect the occupants from a rollover. ROPS is also what Argo calls it from the factory since it is certified.
Thanks for the link Mike. Garbie good job your photos were a big help. They gave me some idea on how to mount the ROPS. I also liked how you made your plow mount! I hope to post some photos of mine when its done! J
