    Trans problem I think

We where coming done a trail Saturday and got stuck and was winching out when the trans locked up. When I got it winched out i checked all the chains looking for something out of place but couldnt find anything. Whatever it was came unbinded when i rocked it back and forth several times. That leaves me to believe it was something in the trans. Any ideas?

There could have been something under one of your sprockets or something in the chains that you missed. When you were winching did you have the transmission in neutral or in gear? Were you driving out at the same time?

I was in forward driving out while i winched when it locked up. I could give it full throttle and nothing would happen thats when i thought i had broke a belt or thrown a chain but couldnt find anything that looked out of place. Then I winched it out and started rocking it back and forth and it popped when it came loose. Put it back in drive and couldnt tell anything was wrong. I was about 2 miles from the camp and I am trying to make sure it doesnt happen again. Would be a long walk seeing as how the road is about a foot under water the whole way.
