I have a 83 argo modified so I'm not sure if the trans is original but its the screw in dip stick square style trans it whines louder than the engine noise is this normal and can I add lucas stabilizer to quiet it down. any help is appreciated
Certainly have. I put Moly- bond grease in mine as well as oil to make a sticky lube. It sticks like S*** , it is quiter and lube stays up high in the trans (because it is so sticky) where it is needed for those first minutes when oil is not sprayed up there. Been in there for a while now.
