[QUOTE=reichstall;103395]ok well now i have to ask why would one run just tires
My reason for running only tires and alot of them,#1 Extra flotation, stability, load capacity,in water #2 No need for tracks where I run,no real bottomless bog, at least nothing I cant get thru, lots of rock to scale up,tracks for me are for the winter.N.C.T

    super track rebuild

Ok if any one had been following my prior post. You know that I was makeing new pins and keepers for track. If noone has ever taken there tracks apart.you want to pull a pin or two and look i was amazied at the wear on the pin but little or none on the plastic.I would have never thought they be that way. Also i am not sure if these were stock pins I am guessing yes but they are short to the point on some parts they had actually pulled out of the last hole they go in.The new pins I cut will extend about an 1/8 out side of last hole. Also if you can get them out and i fought it for a bit I put cutting wheel on 41/2 grinder and cut the pin in each slot it went through got to where i could do a section in under min .Got one side done today and other ready to go back tommorow oh yes lots of the pins were broken. just food for thought

Yea buddy been there done that, the proper pins extend about that 1/8 th of a inch so you got that nailed,it is amazing how that plastic stands up,them tracks got a ton of use on them or were used extensively in mud,big job for sure but worth it.N.C.T
