    1996 argo conquest trans oil how much??????????????

    CGHANGED OIL ON MY 1996 CONQUEST AND WHEN REFILLING WITH 30 OZ OR .85 L OF 80W90 OIL THE LEVEL IS APPROX 3/4 INCH OVER THE FULL MARK ON THE DIPSTICK.HOW MUCH OIL DO THESE THINGS HOLD .85 L OR JUST TILL IT HITS THE FULL LINE ON DIPSTICK?????????

    Unless your Trans was quite warm when you drained the old oil and your machine was set at an angle, you would not get all of it out.
    3/4" over full will not hurt anything, but you could drain a bit if you want. A friend of mine has a bit of a leak from his trans, and runs it a bit over full like that at all times. With the amount of clutter inside the trans, you actually don't have much more than you wanted anyway.

    I wouldn't be concerned with it

    Called argo god today in edmonton not to worry as each trans is geared differentlty(low,med and high)thus larger or small gears in the gear case like rd said not to worry added .7 lt and is about 1/4 inch above line which they say is lots.leaving tomorrow am for elk camp .a little sick kids and the queen all with a cold and of course i just got the bug oh well better then working thats for sure
