Can you put an Admiarl tranny in a 96 argo

    Well yesterday I found out that my 35HP diesel will not fit in the bottom of the tub with the belt driven fan/radiator,,,Just about 3in too long with the clutch on the motor,,,SSSSSSSSSSSSoooooooooooo,I guess I will mount the radiator kinda laying flat atop the t-20 with a 16in pusher electric fan setup,,,I think its gonna look pertty cool,,,

    Do motor work you will not be sorry. I drove Rogers Argo and it was like driving my 40 hp. Mudd-Ox and it was just a reworked B&S. Cougar

    Well Mr Smog,,,The point is as you said(can be retrofitted)what ever one is trying to dream up to build there machine as they want,when you hit a snag with a custom build or change things arround just think more deeply on it and figure out a way to make it work,,,That is my responce.

    If it's really the problem you have, try the clutch readjustments :

    then you can tweak the governor for a max unloaded rpm of 4000 rpm.

    I have seen a 4000rpm governed engine and it was a lot better than the 3200rpm it had before the tweak.

    Do you have a procedure for this smog?
    I would like to try it on my friends argo. He has the high geared Trans, and something like this might help. Also considered bypassing the governor all togeather, but am unsure about reliability if I were to try it.

    The guy just bent the tab holding the governor spring, I will try to take a picture when I see it.

    I cut each end of my gov spring and bent a loop back in it wow the motor came alive but still has not as much power as I would like in the mud
