    Avenger with stereo

    Has anyone put a stereo or just a ipod jack on a argo .getting ready to put one on mine custom box wit 4 marine 8s

    just be careful- your stereo may draw more current than your engines charging system can keep up with-leaving you with a dead battery. That being said, I didnt want dead batteries on my machine, so Im going with dual 800cca batteries, and an auxillary 80 amp alternator.

    2003 Argo Bigfoot (18 hp briggs) with roll cage and Jensen 150-200 watt Stereo. No battery issue until running lights at night and trying to run winch more than one time. Engine just can’t recharge fast enough for second winching if needed. Stereo still will play fine, but recharge well. Don’t get stuck and your be fine. My profile has a pic of my argo. I can’t seem to figure out how to post a pic for big pic. There are quite a few videos mudbug from Shreveport have posted where we road together and the stereo is visible. Here’s one below.

    I must have assumed he would be running an external amp to power the 4 8" speakers.....running just a head unit would be ok I think
