Mighty Vac from Argo Adventure for changing trans oil?

I just ordered the Mighty Vac from Argo adventure and I am wondering, is it good enough to get all the oil from the trans or am I still gonna have to mess with the drain plug? I plan on using it to do easier oil changes but would really love to use it for the trans too. I know it says on the web site that it works good for all fluids, but I am just wondering if any of you have used it.

I use a liquid vac for engine oil all the time. I still pull the drain plug after vacuuming out crankcase. Usually don't get but a few drops but I have to know all the oil is out. The admiral transmission requires a vac to pull all the oil out. I bent a piece of metal tubing to fit into the bottom of the case. The other Argo transmissions can be easily drained. Get a ridged nylon tube 1/4" OD for the dipstick tube, soft tube will fold in the crankcase and may hang up.

I use a liquid vac for engine oil all the time. it pulls all the oil but maby a drop or two. I use it on the trans also, it is just easier than pulling the plug and dealing with all that hassle and mess.

Thanks for the response. I got the mighty vac in a few days ago and it worked great... It did take over and hour to get all the gear oil out though, is that normal or did I mess up the vacuum some where? I'm not complaining, it was still way easier then before, I just wasn't sure how long to leave the tube in there so I left it in till I didn't see anymore coming down the tube.

Gear oil takes forever with vacuum pumps, Next time maybe get the oil warm first by driving it a while, but still will be slow.
