My bilge don't have a screen. But what I do after riding in the woods and as part of my regular maintenance is take a shop vac to the tub. I do it a lot. Helps keep a lot of things out of the bilge and off the greasy chains.

My thought was to mount a coffee can a bit bigger then the pump with screened holes in the tub. then just throw the bilge pump in. Thoughts?
