Hello, I'm in the process of tearing down a 295 Colt Attex. I had to cut three of the four axles in order to press out the seized sprocket hubs. My question is does anyone know what grade of steel that these used? Carbon content or number? Want to make sure they have enough strength when they go back in (plus a lot of anti seize) Thanks!

4140 is readily available from most steel suppliers and should hold up reasonably well in the Colt. Make sure you get TGP (turned/ground/polished) for good fitment of the bearings. The 1" eccentric-style locking outer bearings are notorious for breaking at the inner races, especially when you have a loose fitting bearing.
Yep 4140 is the stuff to use. If you are pulling the frame out you may look at up sizing outer bearings. Those 52 mm ones didn't holds up well. I added some ears to my frame to accept 72 mm flanges. 62mm should be pretty easy and be a good upgrade.
