    Attex Super Chief electronic ignition

I'm in the process of resealing the G50 and was interested in doing electronic ignition. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

It's a piece of cake, if you can find the parts. Any CDI set from a Chaparral/Xenoah twin will work: G29B, G34B, G40B, or G44B. If you can find a Chap sled with "SS" in the serial number, it will have CDI. It's just a matter of replacing parts and mounting the new coil & box after that.

Try to find a setup from a fan cooled twin chap engine especially if you plan on using the electric start ,the fan cooled flywheels are machined to accept a ring gear . This way if you find a setup from a engine that didn't have electric start you can use the ring gear from your points flywheel. A setup from a liquid twin will work but the flywheel is a little larger and you can't put a ring gear on it,you will also have to modify the opening on the inside dust plate to accept the bigger flywheel .
