I have no idea what that mess is...what is it supposed to look like? That picture is at the guys house I’m getting it from. Think the converter is bad?

The 5000 and 7000 look alike. The 6000 is without reverse. I'm not sure what all parts interchange, just that the 5000 is a lighter duty model with a smaller dia. shaft.

Not sure if that’s something wrapped around it. I asked the guy who has it to look at it.
If the thing is broke is that a hard piece to replace?

I’m probably gonna be looking for a back up unit.

So, do the sled engines turn the correct way?
Like I said I got 2 engines with it, just kinda need
To understand how the primary clutch will work with the
    7000 tranny.
    Thanks

The engines should work no problem, the convertor will probably need to be wider inside using spacers, we hope. Rickga is currently working through this with a small 4 stroke conversion, the belt width is the main issue.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

I have a belt, not sure if it came with sled engine or not.
It fits the engine but kinda fits in the driven clutch. Kinda trying to eliminate the issue before I have an
    Issue I guess.
    Thanks

I guess after getting it home and looking at it someone stuck rubber hose in the spring
Not sure why? Maybe so it would engage sooner?
