    Attex drains?

Purchased a 297 in pretty sad shape requiring a bit of body work. There are 4 holes which look suspiciously original on the bottom of the tub. Are these supposed to be there, and were they plugged? Are they used as drains and if they were plugged, what type of plugs were used? Thanks, Dan

Some of the early machines had only one hole in the rear, post some pictures of what you have as they probably need closing. I have had a couple machines over the years that people have added holes in the chain areas so the water doesn't collect when sitting outside for extended periods.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

It would be really sweet if the holes were the exact size to fit the plugs from a max but I can,t remember the plug size from my old Max iv. Does anybody know?

Hi Danth, My early attex uses the rubber boat plugs with an expanding lever. You can get them at marine stores or possibly walmart. Good luck Mike
