Yep you should be good to go, just make sure its sanded well for the paint to bite into.
Corvette's were all painted
It makes it smooth and allows you buff scratches etc but not needed, primer and paint will work just fine. are you painting the complete body?

Welcome, That Kohler will have a tapered PTO so the clutch will not fit the Briggs. the tapered clutches need a puller that threads into it and pushes against the crank to pop them off.

Yep i see it, many other Forums are having the same problem. I have 575 pics on there so maybe that has something to do with it.
