    got a 1974 440 thunderchief

    guy was asking $500 OBO end price $250 engine runs but is stuck on high throttle four new tires on upgraded rims tranny shifted smooth its a four chain setup look at the first pic the one the guy put on the web is a 1974 abs or poly

    Hey Jeff,

    Oh, wow. Just a crack huh. Price is pretty good though.

    '74 is abs. '76 was first year attex switched to poly.

    Just notice the good picture of it. Unless he "just" hit it, What a scam artist!

    The "good" pic definetely looks photoshopped. Still a pretty good deal for $250 considering it looks complete.

    $250 is a good price just for a tranny.

    Yeah, the guy was a bum for hiding that damage but you still got a good deal.

    Now i need to get the whole machine to work to weld it all in place. The snow flew in yesterday I unstuck the throttle someone ran the screw into the slide locking it in place 1 carb on this 440. I heard it run on starting fluid now i no why you guys like the 2 strokes

    starting fluid dries out the cylinder and may score the wall bad ,as well as wear the rings badly..
