    The Black Mold...

Title says it all folks, and i got some stuff to add about it. lol WOW its bad stuff. Black mold typically grows in moist damp area's with little to no sunlight. Typically takes a minimum of a week to start growing from what i understand. well either way, i'm here to tell ya its bad. lol if you find any in your home, get it out asap and DONT BREATHE IT IN! I made this mistake when i was redoing my laundry room and pressure tank areas about 2 weeks ago? Yah...well lets just say it made me deathly sick folks. Finally starting to get my guts back into PROPER working order. It went after my bowls and kidneys. YIKES! I learned an important life lesson and lets hope someone else can learn from my mistake! THought i'd share!

We had to have guys clean mould out of our basement once. Glad I didn't have to do it myself. They were dressed like spacemen down there.
    Glad you're ok

I never realized it could be so bad, but now I'll be VERY careful in the future. Thanks for the heads up Wagz and I'm glad to hear you pulled through alright.

Glad to hear you're getting better, didn't realize the stuff could be so bad. The symptoms you list sound like mushroom poisoning, which now that I think of it mushrooms are a fungus, just like mold. We can assess then, from your experience, that the spores cast off when you disturb the mold, are toxic also, therefore the effect is similar or the same as eating a poisonous mushroom or a bunch of the mold. Never thought of it that way, but I do know that mushroom poisoning can be a very bad way to go. You, sir, are a very lucky man!

I just had to take a class about Mold and how to treat it. In a nut shell, to treat it use beach/water mixtures or a spray called X14.
