    bleeding brakes?

i have a 2004 Honda foreman 500,when i squeeze the front brake lever only one side the right works the left dont work.i took the left side drum off and found that the pistons dont move at all. so i bled the brakes and git them to move a little bit but not enough.bled them again and i cant get pressure back in there no matter what. there is fluid coming out of the bleed valve when i open it but cant get no pressure on the lever and the pistons wont move at all. do i have to bleed both right and left bleed valves at the same time since there connected? or am i doing something wrong.

Bleed both sides, there could be air caught in the other line. Also, I would unseize the calipers and give them a good cleaning (rid of all rust, grime and watery brake fluid or replace them). Also check that all the rubber components are serviceable, if not replace the o-rings and such. If you had pressure before, then you can rule out the master cylinder, but would also look at it too!!

still dont work....bled both sides at once by backing off bleed valve and pumping a couple times then re tightening and its still no pressure.

    Attempt this.

1-Keep reservoir full, remove filler cap and hands off lever.
2-Open caliper bleeder on one side, allow fluid to escape until you see no bubbles ( this may take some time, do not allow reservoir to empty),close bleeder.
    3-Repeat on the other caliper.
4-Squeeze brake handle a few times Slowly with the cap off reservoir, refill and install cover.
    5-Try brakes.
    6-Report back

    Joe Camel never does that.
