My new to me 2018 avenger 8x8 hunt master has issues starting. (30hp Kohler ELH775 motor) I have narrowed the problem down to the starter solenoid. The original complete starter with solenoid itself is a #25-098-21-S which has now been replaced by the #25-098-24-S.
Does anyone know a part number to order just a solenoid rather than entire new starter with solenoid? It seems difficult to locate any part numbers or cross reference for the solenoids individually.
Before you replace the solenoid try running a ground wire directly to one of the bolts holding the starter on. I was having intermittent starting issues until I did this and now it always works. Good luck.
