The KT17 in the old Argo I bought this year got me through my first moose season but I was planning on rebuilding it this winter. It's a little noisy, a little smoky, & uses some oil.
I guess I'm still living in the 70s but I expected a rebuild to be fairly cheap. BUT, in doing a little looking I'm seeing prices like $200.00 for a single piston with rings! Yikes!
Where is a good inexpensive parts source, or is there one????
Am I better off making the switch to something like a Vanguard?
Thanks. That's the place with the prices I quoted above. I'm not putting them down, & like I say I guess I may be living in the past but $60 for rings for 1 piston & $200 for 1 piston with rings just blows my mind! At least they have the parts...
