Suzuki G-10 Snow machine clutch adapter.

Ok guys, here is the build to deal with how to adapt a snow machine clutch to the flex plate.

You will need
1. a good machinest machinest
2. snow machine crank after taper say it is about 30 mm....
3. a chunk of 3" round stock.
4. A stick welder
5. (see number one)
6. 6 bolts to fix the part to the the crank and flex plate.

Take two thousands off of the snow machine crank shaft it will fit in the flex plate (30 MM if your curious)

The finished adapter. A chunk of 3" round stock with a hole cut in the middle, and the back side (side facing the flex plate) generously chamfered. Took 10 tons to push it on the crank shaft. Drilled 6 holes on a mill to match the flex plate and crank, welded up the chamfer to seal the deal between the ring and the crank. machined back to fit flush on the flex plate.

lets do this! what the adapter looks like width one bolt in it (six M10 by 1.25X 30mm bolts are here... wish they were for the photo oh well)




Lets put the clutch on and have a look!

now for the money question... what spring and weights to run? The lightest i can get is a white or purple and forty gram weights. im targeting a 1500 RPM engagement speed.... your .o2 cents would be great here!

Way cool. Looks like he resesed the holes. I beleive that i contacted him about building one, but he was betewene shops at the time and expected not to get into his new shop till the fall.

Thanks, ill pass it on! Im just the boy with a dream... Mr. AkBuff truck is the wizard! Next up: frame reinforcement and the starter and jack shaft mods.... (need bigger, better badder). Ill also let you know what the base line for the clutching is. (weigts and springs i mean)
