    kohler twin throttle question

I have a 1984 argo IC that came with a Kohler twin in it. Ever since i purchased it i have been having troubles with the throttle cable sticking, it is catching on the rubber tube for the air breather. In the service manual it shows the tube and the cable clamp in fig EN-4. To get around this problem tonight i moved the cable clamp to the other side of the arm. Has anyone else had the same type of problem with the Kohler twin of this vintage. (Oh Ya should have said that figure reference is from the 1977-1986 service manual for the KT17 engine)

I read in a Kohler service manual that on the kt17 engine if you had a multi-part breather tube you where suppost to replace it with their new moulded on,e as it stated in the book" if you had wear on the tube from the governor spring"
