What would yall think on putting a liquid cooled motor on a max 2? The motor I'm looking at right now is a FD620D that's currently in a john deer greens mower. Biggest question is, will it serve me any better than my current 16 horse vanguard? I will be running the machine hard in the coming months with ambient temperatures above 100.
If it is worth purchasing, what should I pay for it, and what sort of fabrication would I be looking at to install it? How much, if any, rewiring would need to be done? Where should I put the radiator? Etcetera.
I'm a little new to Kawasaki motors and to totally swapping out and redoing the motor on a 6x6. I would like to hear opinions, tips and warnings. Thanks
garrett, i have had that motor in my john deere tractor for over ten years and never had a problem with it. has always run great. main thing would be getting good air to the radiator i would think. maybe mount it above engine bay for good exposure. i don't think the wiring is real complex. good luck and keep us posted. johnboy va.
