    Older Argo 6x6 B&S Vanguard 14hp twin

I've got myself in a pickle.

Previous owner said the valves needed adjusted. I went in to do that. Side #1 out of adjustment slightly. Side #2, pushrods weren't even connected to anything. In disassembling and reassembling the rocker arms, I over torqued the bolt and snapped a small part under the rocker arm in half. This engine is 20 years old and B&S pretty much told me "sorry". I've read a few places that I can put newer heads on this block, perhaps even 18hp heads? Can someone steer me in the right direction?

If all you broke was that carrier I'd go ebay, that piece should interchange from 12hp up to 20 I'd think.

    Nubs!

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
