Yeah, this! Been contemplating this...
Def the 2500 IMO. I've had both in the chevy varieties. Like others have said, heavier duty components, etc. I have an F350 with diesel and a 2500 chevy with 6.0. Hard to argue with my 6.0 SO...
Turbo diesel you say? Hmmmm... I'm REALLY interested now!
Interesting read. I've always considered a mud-ox but have one question that could make or break my decision. How do they float? Not nec. swim as I use an outboard for the large bodies we need to...
Although my back wouldn't appreciate it... I'd love one of these with turn down bars and turned into a cafe racer style. I'm a british bike lover, but I love this thing. Nice score! Enjoy her!!! ...
First thing I'd do is kiss the seller on the lips :) Nice score! As for the rest, I have no useful info... just jealousy lol
Easier to get stuck than a traditional 4 wheeler? Check. Bottom "lightweight" enough to get trashed every time you cross a log? check. Slower than a 4-wheeler with worse ride and longer wheelbase?...
lol... time for a cheap trailer?
I've never seen the 12hp variety but just thinking aloud here is it possible the "bottom" of the aircleaner assembly is pushing on the butterfly? As in closing it? I'd leave running and try...
I would say you'd have a hard time not getting 3x your $ out of just parts. Unless trashed, the tracks themselves should sell quickly for purchase price IMO (around here). For a couple hundred I'd...
If I had it to do over again and my used 8x8 didn't come with tracks, I'd spend the $$ and get adair tracks. I've never even driven on them (mine are plastic) but from what I hear, you won't be...
Agree with above. My buddy's conquest has just under 600hrs on it, pry 575 of those are with extensions and no tracks. I recommended against it from manufacturers info but he hasn't had issues so...
I think tying to the frame is a great idea. Like an upside down T center support behind seat. Just cut a groove in front portion of rear pan.
I am a waterfowl hunting guide and while currently we don't guide goose hunts in fields, I am contemplating it and we use the argo for those hunts regularly.
Agree with sounds of a lock. Bay City... are you from Michigan?
FYI the trails here which require <50" vehicles also require no "skid steering" vehicles. I've never been on one of these hoots, but have been interested in them. I think it would be great for no...
I would guess bearing flange bolts.
I like. That's a pretty wild looking machine!
FYI I have had great luck with gorilla winches on my jeeps. I'm still using the 1996 antiquated one on my argo, so I'm not much help here though.
that's exactly the item and accessories I would order if i were to buy new right now. Maybe camo, but otherwise same. Enjoy, sounds like you got a beauty.
