    Idle problems

New to the site and new to Argos, so here's the problem, I bought a 1999 conquest with the Kawi 20 hp motor, it has 350 hours. When I test drove it, it worked and ran great. After I brought it home I started it the next morning and it won't idle. It "surges" when I hold the throttle at low idle, if I don't give it gas it dies. I did a basic carb clean without disassembly. Looking at doing a soak but am having trouble finding gaskets. I could only unscrew one jet as the other is stuck. So my is ruins are, where is a good place to buy a carb rebuild kit, or what else should I try? Thanks

You can search online and purchase a rebuild kit or your local small engine shop should also be able to help. Have you tried adjusting the idle on the motor yet? Did you let it warm up to see if it still surges then?

I've had 4 conquests this summer that we're having various problems. All had fuel hose decomposing and packing into the small inlet hole to the needle. One just didn't get fuel and the owner had soaked the carb but failed to blow out the inlet from the carb side. Check carb I let again and replace fuel line from tank to carb. Hope you find the problem.
