we have a 1972 sears sportster 6 wheeler(the kind the banana splits rode in,lol). it has a JLO Rockwell 2 stroke engine. was wondering if anyone may know what the fuel and oil ratio should be??? we have it ready to start but need to know what the ratio is first. thanks for any help you all can give me.
My friend runs a small engine shop and told me with modern oils he runs 50:1 in everything unless 80:1 or 100:1 are called for buy the manufacturer. I run 50:1 in my old merc outboard all the time. Factory was 25:1 in 1977. With Tanaka oil it dosent even smoke. The original mix was with standard engine oils.
