Hi guys
Finally got to to work on my maxII , it starts ok, ticks over ok , but when Erving up it dies, but will rev up with choke on🤔any ideas , one of the jets blocked?
And does anyone have a video of cleaning one of these carbs? Never done a Briggs carb, only Honda ect
Any help would be great.

Dirt carb. Generally anytime the choke improves the issue its a fuel delivery issue. They are very easy to clean. Pop the top of the carb off and you might be surprised what you find.
Probably a dirty carb. Pulling the carburetor requires removing the engine shroud. Easiest way I’ve found to effectively clean it without taking it off- You’ll need a 10mm wrench, a Phillips head, a small flat head and a straw. Take the air filter out, the 5 10mm bolts out, and pull the air cleaner base off.. Remove the 4 Phillips head screws to the top of the carb. Remove the carb top and set it to the side. Carefully remove the float (don’t want to lose the needle) and set it to the side. Clean the tip of the needle. There is one removable brass jet, take it out with the flat head and clean it with a torch tip cleaner, pin, or whatever you have handy. Take your straw and blow through the top holes in the carb (watch your eyes). Look at the bottom of the carb bowl, if there’s floating grit, then carefully use the straw to suck the gas out of the bottom of the carb to take away the material.
Might be worth your time to pull the gas inlet line, and run a pipe cleaner down the nipple. If that’s full of trash, you’ll continually trash out your carb.

A quick and easy method to try. Remove the air cleaner lower assembly then fire the machine up. Rev the engine is much as it will go and slap your hand down over the carb inlet. You want it to almost stall then remove your hand. It should belch a bunch of black smoke. Then get back to running okay. Do this two or three times and you may pull whatever debris is in a jet out. Takes a little practice to learn how to do it without stalling the engine. If it does stall just let it dry out for a few minutes and refireOriginally Posted by wiggy

I use a pipet to clean the carb got hickups to many times

Hi guys
Just cleaning the card, taken the top of the carb off and look green - blue fuel, been parked up for a bit this one, how the heck do you get at that 2nd bolt at the base of the carb? 🥺do you need the take that v part that goes to both cylinders?
Gonna give it a good cleanwhen I get the dam thing off 🤔
