I found this video that Mudbug hadn't posted. It shows Scotts Hustler swimming across the sabine river. For anyone considering Vampires this video will give a pretty good idea of there water speed. With a vampire you can't hammer the throttle in water but you have to slow down the speed and let the tire paddle.Scott, that honda engine sounds really good!

That was some pretty good terrain for learning about those new tires....the funny thing is that I got stuck in the first 2 minutes of the ride! I hit some really slick, thick clay and hit the throttle and promptly buried the Hustler. Dave and I had to get out and rock it backwards. The trick with the Vamps is to be patient and just let them paddle for you......

However; since seeing Meinfeld's video, I would like to see his rig hit a mudhole with some Vamps and see what happens???

Scott, when it comes to mud and Vampires there seems to be only two ways, slow and easy if you can stay on top of the mud, if it is really soft, the kind you sink down into you have to hit it hard, keep your vehicle moving and try to stay on top. Once you start sink or the mud builds up on your tires you are finished.

The reason I did not post the Hustler video you are referring to , is because Utube had not finished processing the video to High Quality before I left for work ,,so I planned to post it later on , when I got home from work .
